Welcome to the website for the The Town of Imagination for Rabbits Facebook page.  The purpose of this website is to share in a unique way the care and the Love of Rabbits. We use the residents of the "Town" to share our knowledge in a fun way.

We volunteer with 501(c)(3) Rabbit Rescue Groups in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. All of the rabbits shown are from one of these rescue groups and fostered or seen on behalf of the rescue group and/or public request.  All of our rabbits live 100% indoors and have been fixed or will be fixed when they reach the right age and weight.  We adopted our own from these rescue groups.  Our rabbits and fosters are under the care of a licensed Exotic Rabbit Veterinarian.

The Town is a Magical Place for Rabbits.

Mrs. Hedgehog is the teacher of the kits (baby bunnies) that we foster.  Mrs. Hedgehog will drive them to school in her school bus and will take them on Field Trips to places located around the town.  She is Mom for the members of the Town, knows everyone in the Town, and cares for everyone.

Cindy manages the Town's Farmers Market and her own market stand where the town's residents hop on over for some Fresh Carrot Tops and other greens. Her Best Friend Forever is Sugarplum, and her favorite team is the San Francisco Giants. She and Bunny Friend often take the town's residents to some special places.
Cindy also teaches along with Mrs. Hedgehog.  Cindy will take some of the orphans into her home and has been known to homeschool the kits and orphans.

Bunny Friend (to the left) is the friend of all the rabbits. She cares for all orphan rabbits that we foster, and is about the size of a 2 1/2 week old kit. Bunny Friend is often used as a size reference as the kits grow older.

Nurse Bunny (to the left) handles all the medical care for the town's residents. She cares for all the kits, orphans and medical rabbits as she gives medications under the direction of a Exotic Rabbit veterinarian and hops on over to check on the rabbits first thing in the morning and at dinner time. She also performs a Nose2Tail Health Check at the start of each month which includes a weight taken for each bunny and their temperature.

As one may recall, Nurse Bunny also cared for and later adopted Champ, who was a special needs bunny that took the hearts of the world through Nurse Bunny's Facebook posts. Eventually, Champ crossed over the Rainbow Bridge due to his medical condition.

Zora (left) and Zita (right) are one of our adopted bonded pairs. We rescued Zora on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving after she was dumped in a very difficult place within the woods in a local mountain range. Thankfully, she was rescued before It rained 8 inches the next night as she would not have made it through that major storm. We bonded her to our Forever Foster Zora who we cared for as a three week old orphaned “Easter Bunny.”

Binx (left) and Sugarplum (right) are our other bonded pair. We rescued Sugarplum and her mom Noeleen after Noeleen gave birth to Sugarplum and her siblings on December 25th at a local shelter. Eventually, we adopted Sugarplum, and later, we bonded Sugarplum with Lucky who was our Forever Foster who we cared for as a kit.  Sadly, Lucky crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to cancer.  Thankfully, we were able to later bond Sugarplum with Binx. You can see their bonding process on their Bonding Page.

Binky will always be in our hearts as he was one of the first residents of the Town. He was our Forever Foster and crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to Liver Lobe Torsion.
